The successful candidate will be required to teach a variety of courses in the Bachelor of Health Science – Health and Wellness and the Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences programs at the North campus. Sample courses and topics may include human physiology, health science communications, knowledge translation, health promotion, and research- and/or biomedical laboratory-techniques courses. The incumbent will engage in a variety of activities that support teaching and learning and promote student success including: curriculum development; lesson planning; assessing student progress and achievement; and class management. Beyond their teaching duties, the successful candidate will be expected to establish an effective learning environment and work as a collaborative team member contributing to the overall direction of the program. In addition, the candidate may, from time to time, be called upon to contribute to student recruitment and the promotion and marketing of the program. These activities will require that the incumbent assist in the development and maintenance of strong industry connections and community partnerships. Lastly, the incumbent will be expected to participate on Humber Polytechnic and departmental committees and advance college initiatives including research.

Education
Experience/Skills
A minimum of 5 years of previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
Applied industry experience in the Health / Life / Biomedical Science fields is considered an asset
Previous experience in curriculum development, mentoring, flexible learning modalities, learning management systems (LMS), classroom and/or laboratory management, and/or accommodation/human rights is an asset.
