Business Development & Social Media Specialist Position Summary

Ste. Anne’s Spa is seeking an energetic, creative, and relationship-focused Business Development & Social Media Specialist to help grow awareness, engagement, and revenue across the business working through social media and vertical sales channels.
This unique role combines social media management, content creation, media and influencer relations, group and corporate sales. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable creating engaging social content, building relationships with media and influencers, and identifying new opportunities for group getaways, corporate retreats, meetings, and wellness programs.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both creative marketing and proactive business development.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media & Content Creation (50%)
· Develop and execute social media strategies across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
· Create, schedule, and publish engaging content including photos, videos, reels, stories, and written posts.
· Capture content on property and work with various departments to identify stories and experiences worth sharing.
· Manage community engagement, including responding to comments and messages.
· Coordinate content calendars and campaign execution.
· Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, audience growth, engagement, and website traffic.
· Manage boosted posts and basic Meta advertising initiatives.
· Track and report on social media performance and key metrics.
· Coordinate media and influencer visits and maintain relationships with content creators and partners.
Business Development & Lead Generation (50%)
· Research and identify potential corporate retreat, meeting, wellness, and group getaways opportunities.
· Conduct outbound prospecting through email, LinkedIn, networking, and phone outreach.
· Build and maintain relationships with corporate decision-makers, event planners, HR professionals, executive assistants, and community organizations.
· Generate qualified leads for the sales team.
· Support partnership development and local business outreach initiatives.
· Maintain prospect information and activity tracking within company systems.
· Attend networking events, trade shows, and community functions as required.
· Assist with follow-up activities to help convert opportunities into bookings.
Qualifications
· Experience in social media marketing, content creation, sales, business development, public relations, hospitality, tourism, or a related field.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Comfortable creating photo and video content for social media platforms.
· Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
· Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
· Experience with Meta Business Suite, Canva, and social media scheduling tools is an asset.
· Hospitality, wellness, tourism, destination marketing, or event industry experience is preferred.
Success Measures
