Full job description

We’re currently looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our team and help keep our financial operations running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, thrives in an organized environment, and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency.

Your Responsibilities:

Provide accounting support to our owner and executive teams as needed
Enter accounts information into our system for multiple companies, confirming correct approval and verification of all required documentation
Ensure accounts payable and receivable policies, procedures, and internal controls are observed and upheld
Maintains contact with vendors regarding any AP & AR matters
Review invoices, credit memos and statements
Manage and meet various processing deadlines including payroll, month-end and year-end

Your Skills:

Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail
Excellent understanding of accounting concepts
Ability to work autonomously, completing tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Team player with a positive attitude
Good communication skills (written and verbal)

Your Qualifications:

Minimum of 1-2 (one to two) years of accounting/bookkeeping experience or in a similar administrative role
Successful completion of post-secondary diploma or certificate program in financial management, accounting, or bookkeeping
Experience with processing bi-weekly payroll, accounts payables & receivables as well as preparing monthly journal entries
Ability to handle multiple sets of books
Proficiency in computer skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks with an ability to learn new applications
