Full job description

Are you passionate about cars? Do you know what it takes to keep a car in top notch condition? If the answer is yes, we may have the perfect job for you!

Our Picton, ON location is currently recruiting for a full-time Counter Person. Counter Personnel are responsible for inside sales (telephone and in-person) and are the primary point of contact with our customers. As Counter Personnel have a direct impact on customer buying decisions it is an essential part of their role to provide exceptional customer service at all times.

As a member of our team the Counter Person will advise customers, handle payments, process returns/exchanges of merchandise, and will also:

Answer incoming calls in a prompt and courteous manner
Welcome walk-in customers and offer your assistance/knowledge
Resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally and effectively
Update the Store Manager of any complications with regards to store or customer related matters
Set up displays, stock shelves and take inventory
Keep record of lost sales
Pre-bill all transfers and orders
Order parts from suppliers
Other duties as required

We are looking for a candidate that has excellent customer service skills, is self-motivated, passionate, in addition to:

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated computer skills
Confidence and aptitude to work unsupervised and independently
Experience working in a team-based environment
Valid driver’s licence
Ability to lead in a team environment
Superior time-management skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories (an asset)
Knowledge of tools and equipment (an asset)
Availability to work rotating Saturdays
