Position: Youth Development Coordinator
Location: Children’s Mental Health Services (CMHS) – Hastings & Prince Edward Counties
Status: Regular Full-Time - 35 hours/week, with a varied work schedule based on activities of the youth/need for services. Some evening and occasional weekend work.
Salary: $18.60/hr (funding through Canada Summer Jobs)

Are you passionate about supporting youth mental health and building stronger communities?
CMHS is seeking a Youth Development Coordinator to help increase awareness of youth mental health services and improve access to supports across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.
In this role, you will:
- Lead outreach and community engagement activities
- Organize youth and community information sessions
- Promote mental health services and support referrals
- Conduct needs assessments and provides recommendations
- Collaborate with schools, agencies, and community partners
- Social Media Planning and content creation
- Represent CMHS at community events and meetings
- Social Media Planning and content creation
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of youth mental health and community services
- Experience in outreach, engagement, or social services preferred
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Background in social work, psychology, community development, or related fields is an asset
Skills Developed:
Adaptability, collaboration, communication, creativity and innovation, digital skills, problem-solving, technical skills, and numeracy.
Working Conditions:
Travel throughout Hastings and Prince Edward Counties is required, with occasional evening or weekend work for community events. Mileage is covered.
