MacKay’s Truck & Trailer Center is growing, and we are looking for a reliable and motivated Detailer to join our team in Truro, Nova Scotia.

What You’ll Do
As a Detailer, you will play an important role in our customer experience and the professional presentation of our trucks, trailers and equipment. You will work closely with our Sales and Service teams to ensure units are cleaned, prepared and ready on time for customers, sales and service requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and detailing trucks, trailers and equipment, including interiors and exteriors
- Washing, degreasing, vacuuming, polishing and performing finishing work
- Preparing units for customer delivery and sales photos, including final touch-ups
- Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met before units are released
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the wash bay, detailing area and related equipment
- Supporting the overall cleanliness and appearance of the yard and building as required
- Moving vehicles and equipment safely in and out of the shop and yard
- Following established safety procedures, including proper PPE use, chemical handling and equipment operation
- Supporting other departments and performing additional duties as required
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is dependable, self-directed and takes pride in maintaining a high standard of workmanship. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change throughout the day.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous detailing, automotive cleaning or related experience considered an asset
- A valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver trucks, trailers and equipment in the yard
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including repetitive movements, bending, lifting and standing for extended periods
