Are you an organized and detail-oriented accounting professional looking for an opportunity with a well-established company? We are seeking an Accounting Associate on behalf of our client in the Truro area.
This permanent, full-time role is well suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records, enjoys a collaborative work environment, and is looking to contribute to the day-to-day financial operations of a growing business.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:

Review, verify, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently

Manage the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring invoices are processed and payments are made on time

Respond to vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies

Process and reconcile employee expense reimbursements
-
Monitor accounts payable obligations and support cash flow planning
-
Assist with the monthly accounting cycle, including journal entries and account reconciliations

Complete monthly bank reconciliations
-
Support month-end and year-end closing activities
-
Provide accounts receivable support as needed

Other related duties and projects as assigned
Experience & Attributes for Success:
-
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-
1 - 3 years of accounts payable or accounting support experience

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy coupled with strong analytical and problem solving skills

The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
-
Positive, team-focused attitude with a professional and genuine approach
