Sales Engineer to join our team.

- Truro or Halifax, Nova Scotia
The Sales Engineer is a detail focused, enthusiastic individual with a strong sales drive who can understand and provide the best technical solutions for our customers’ requests from product integration to creating new and innovative solutions. They are a team player who brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a strategic outlook to the role. Our ideal candidate possesses ocean acoustic experience and can earn the customer’s trust while solving their technical challenges. At a high level, the critical outcomes for success in this role are:
- Business Development – with new and existing customers
- Technical Solutions – solving problems for customers from simple to very complex.
- Communications – acting as the bridge between customers and engineers.
Customer Relations - instructing customers on best practices for the use of Ocean Sonics’ products.

- Develops a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the products or services we are selling. Able to explain complex technical concepts in a way that is easily understood by non-technical clients.

- Electrical engineering degree
- 1-2 year in sales environment
- Strong computer skills: MS Office and cloud-based tools
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; second language an asset
- Manages time, priorities, and meets deadlines.
- 2-3 years’ working in a technical environment, ideally in acoustic or RF field.
- Entrepreneurial attitude
- Qualified candidates will be invited to a 30-minute video or telephone pre-screening.
- Short-listed candidates will interview with the Hiring Manager.
- In certain cases, you will be asked to prepare, in advance, a brief presentation or complete a short technical test.
- Finalists will be invited for a second interview with technical and sales managers
The process is expected to take 2-4 weeks from pre-screen to offer.
