Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday + occasional overtime/after-hours support during peak season
Join Our Team
Quality Concrete Ltd. is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our Truro team as a Fleet & Shop Coordinator.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working around trucks and equipment, takes pride in keeping a shop organized, and can help keep a fleet operating efficiently — without necessarily being a licensed mechanic.
We are looking for someone who can stay on top of preventative maintenance, identify larger mechanical concerns early, and coordinate repairs with outside service providers when needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Complete routine servicing on ready-mix trucks and support equipment
- Greasing
- Oil changes
- Fluid checks
- Basic preventative maintenance
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and operating efficiently
- Inspect trucks and equipment daily for wear, damage, or potential issues
- Identify larger mechanical problems and coordinate repairs with third-party repair facilities
- Schedule outside repairs and communicate with vendors/service providers
- Assist plant and operations staff with general shop and yard support
- Help reduce downtime by staying ahead of maintenance needs
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanically inclined with hands-on experience around trucks, heavy equipment, agriculture, construction, or industrial equipment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to recognize mechanical issues before they become major failures
- Comfortable coordinating with outside repair shops and suppliers
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Experience performing basic servicing and maintenance tasks
- Valid driver’s license required
- Heavy truck or equipment experience is considered an asset
- Apprentices, retired mechanics, equipment operators, or mechanically experienced individuals are encouraged to apply
What We Offer
- Competitive wages based on experience
- Stable, year-round employment
- Supportive team environment
- Opportunity to grow within a well-established company
- Variety in day-to-day responsibilities
- Company benefits package available

We are looking for someone who can:
- Keep our fleet maintained and organized
- Stay ahead of preventative maintenance
- Recognize when larger repairs are needed
- Coordinate major repairs with trusted third-party shops
This position is a key support role within our operations team and is critical to keeping our fleet running safely and efficiently.
