We are looking for individuals who have:
- At least 2–5 years’ experience operating equipment in an open-pit mining environment.
- Experience operating drills such as Epiroc Pit Viper, Epiroc SmartROC, Atlas Copco, Bucyrus, Sandvik, or similar.
- Strong understanding of drill patterns, collaring accuracy, depth control, and ground conditions.
- Physical capability to perform the requirements of the role safely and effectively, including climbing ladders to equipment, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness and ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts on a 7x7 rotation.
- Ability to remain focused and detail-oriented in all weather conditions and throughout all shift hours.
- Effective communication skills in English, including written, verbal, and 2-way radio communication.
- A strong personal commitment to safety.
- Demonstrated reliability and dependability, supported by a strong attendance record.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- First Aid/Mine Rescue Training considered an asset.
As a Driller, you will:
- Operate surface drill equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures.
- Accurately drill blast holes according to design specifications.
- Complete pre-trip inspections, FLHAs, and other reports as required.
- Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Identify and report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly.
- Communicate clearly and effectively using 2-way radios.
- Work collaboratively with team members to safely achieve production targets.
- Hourly Rate: From $45.11, based on experience and qualifications
- Bonus Pay: Up to $25,000* extra annually through monthly and quarterly bonuses
