Overview

MUST HAVE A VALID LEVEL 1,2 or 3 within Nova Scotia
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistants (ECA) or Early Childhood Educators (ECE) to join our team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, experience in early childhood education, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's growth and development while working in a collaborative team setting.

Duties

Implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote learning and social development
Support children with their individual needs, including those with disabilities, ensuring an inclusive environment
Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods
Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
Engage children in educational games, arts and crafts, and other age-appropriate activities
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support children's progress and well-being
Follow all licensing regulations and program policies related to early childhood education and caregiving

Skills

Prior classroom experience working with young children is preferred
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage and motivate children
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
Compassionate caregiving skills with patience and understanding
Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic environment
