Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring timely delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests, providing exceptional guest service, and supporting the overall dining experience. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment where teamwork and communication are essential. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. The Food Runner will contribute to maintaining a clean and organized dining area while supporting kitchen operations as needed.

Duties

Deliver hot and cold food orders promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
Assist servers with food delivery and refills, enhancing guest satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness of service stations, dining areas, and utensils in accordance with food safety standards
Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation or restocking supplies during downtime
Handle guest requests courteously and efficiently, providing excellent customer service
Operate Toast POS system for order processing when required
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold safety standards
Assist with cleaning duties including clearing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing service areas
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely service

Skills

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is advantageous
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and food safety protocols
Familiarity with Toast POS system
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact with guests
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and maintaining sanitation standards
Experience in cashiering or cash handling is a plus
Hospitality or hotel experience can be beneficial for guest services roles
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $17.85 per hour
