Pest Control TechnicianExperienced Technician Wanted for a More Technical Pest Control Role
NewGen Pest Control is a subsidiary project of Humane Solutions, built around a more technical, inspection-driven, and results-focused approach to pest control.
We are looking for an experienced pest control technician who knows the industry, enjoys the work, and wants something more substantial than routine recurring service programs.
This role is for someone who understands pest control but is tired of the standard model: quick site visits, passive monitoring, product rotation, vague recommendations, and programs that often manage activity without solving the underlying problem.
We are building NewGen around better inspections, better documentation, better customer communication, better field systems, and a methodology focused on identifying and addressing the causes of pest issues.
The right person will help us deliver that approach in the field.
About the Role
This is a pest control technician role for someone with real industry experience.
You will be involved in inspections, service work, follow-up, documentation, customer communication, and problem solving across residential, commercial, and specialty sites.
Some recurring service work will be part of the job, but the focus is not passive account maintenance. The focus is understanding what is happening on site, why it is happening, what needs to change, and how to communicate that clearly to the customer.
We want someone who can think through a site, not just complete a checklist.
What Makes This Role Different
NewGen is being developed as a more modern pest control brand within the Humane Solutions group of companies.
The goal is to build a pest control operation that is more technical, more transparent, and more focused on long-term outcomes than the standard industry model.
That means we care about:
- proper inspections;
- identifying entry points and conducive conditions;
- understanding pest behaviour and site conditions;
- documenting findings clearly;
- making practical recommendations;
- using data and field history to improve decisions;
- communicating with customers in a way they actually understand;
- reducing reliance on generic recurring programs that do not address the root cause.
This is a good fit for a technician who likes the industry but wants to do better work.
Field Technology
We are preparing to implement a new internal field system that will support inspections, service records, reporting, site history, customer communication, and operational tracking.
The system is being built around real field workflows and will become a major part of how our technicians document and deliver service.
This does not mean we are looking for someone to sit behind a screen all day. We are looking for a field technician who is comfortable using technology properly as part of good service.
The right technician will help us use the system in real conditions and provide practical feedback on what works, what does not, and what would make field work better.
Future Video / Media Component
NewGen is also preparing to develop a dedicated YouTube channel focused on difficult pest problems, unusual sites, remote work, and situations where standard approaches have failed.
The idea is to document real problem-solving work in a useful, straightforward way.
This may include inspections, site walkthroughs, explanations, challenging projects, follow-up results, and educational content for customers and the broader public.
Technicians will not be expected to become actors or influencers. But if you are comfortable explaining your work, walking through your findings, or being involved in field-based video content, there may be opportunities to participate.
This part of the company is still developing, but it is an important direction for the brand.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- completing pest inspections and service visits;
- identifying pest activity, entry points, conducive conditions, and structural issues;
- servicing residential, commercial, and specialty accounts;
- completing monitoring, exclusion, prevention, and control work;
- documenting findings with notes, photos, and service records;
- communicating clearly with customers;
- explaining recommendations in practical language;
- using field software to complete inspection and service documentation;
- supporting follow-up work and long-term service plans;
- helping improve internal field workflows;
- participating in more complex or unusual jobs when needed;
- representing the company professionally on site.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with established pest control experience.
You may be a technician, senior technician, inspector, commercial technician, route technician, exclusion technician, wildlife technician, or service professional who wants a more thoughtful and technical role.
You should be comfortable with customers, field work, documentation, and independent decision-making.
You should also be interested in improving how pest control is delivered, not just repeating the same service model you have already seen elsewhere.
Ideal Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- previous pest control experience;
- strong inspection skills;
- good customer communication;
- practical knowledge of rodents, insects, and structural pest issues;
- comfort using mobile apps and digital service tools;
- good documentation habits;
- ability to work independently;
- a professional attitude in the field;
- interest in root-cause problem solving;
- willingness to learn and help improve systems.
Pest control licensing or certification is strongly preferred.
Additional experience with exclusion, wildlife control, commercial accounts, food facilities, agriculture, construction, sanitation, or building-related recommendations would be an asset.
This Role Is a Good Fit If You
- like pest control but want to do more meaningful work;
- are tired of passive recurring programs that do not solve problems;
- enjoy inspecting, diagnosing, and explaining what is happening;
- want to be part of a growing brand from an early stage;
- are comfortable with technology and documentation;
- care about doing the job properly;
- want room to grow as the company grows.
This Role Is Not a Good Fit If You
- only want a basic route with minimal change;
- do not want to use digital tools;
- dislike documentation;
- are uncomfortable explaining findings to customers;
- prefer product application over inspection and problem solving;
- do not want to adapt as systems improve;
- are looking for a company that operates exactly like every other pest control company.
Growth Opportunity
NewGen is still in an early growth stage.
For the right person, there may be opportunities to move into more senior responsibilities as the company develops, including:
- senior technician;
- lead technician;
- inspection specialist;
- technical trainer;
- service manager;
- field operations support;
- specialized project work;
- involvement in educational or video content;
- helping shape technician workflows and service standards.
The path will depend on skill, reliability, communication, and fit.
About NewGen Pest Control
NewGen Pest Control is a subsidiary project of Humane Solutions focused on building a more technical and modern pest control service.
The brand is being developed around stronger inspections, better field systems, clearer reporting, and a service model that focuses on solving problems rather than simply maintaining them.
We are looking for experienced pest control professionals who want to help build that standard in the field.
Compensation
Compensation will depend on experience, licensing, capability, and fit.
We are looking for someone with enough industry experience to contribute at a higher level than an entry-level technician.

- your pest control experience;
