As an Inside Sales Representative, you are an engine of METHOD's sales pipeline, actively developing new opportunities for both our standard product lines and custom thermoplastics work while managing the inbound flow and assigned accounts that sustain our existing revenue base.
Your primary mandate is proactive: you identify and engage prospects, run structured outreach campaigns, and qualify opportunities that feed both the inside and outside sales cycles. You are comfortable making high-volume outbound calls and sending targeted emails to prospects who don't know us yet, and you follow up with discipline and consistency until a conversation happens or a clear no is established.
At the same time, you bring order to the inbound side, responding promptly, qualifying effectively, and ensuring no opportunity falls through the cracks. You own your assigned accounts with full accountability for the sales cycle, and you maintain the CRM data and reporting that makes the whole system visible and manageable.
This role reports to the Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
Pipeline Development
- Execute a consistent, high-volume outbound prospecting program via phone, email, and video, targeting both Product and Custom opportunities
- Work from the designated target account list; research and add qualified prospects within assigned verticals and territories
- Conduct initial qualification conversations to assess fit, opportunity size, and timeline; categorize and route per established criteria
- Identify the decision-maker, understand the buying process, and move qualified opportunities to the next stage
- Build and maintain an active prospect pipeline that meets or exceeds volume and value targets set by the Sales Manager
- Identify prospects ready for Outside Sales engagement; provide complete handoff documentation
Inbound Lead Management
- Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from website, marketing campaigns, and referrals
- Qualify and categorize inbound leads per established criteria (value, custom vs. product, key account assignment, inside vs. outside routing)
- Nurture warm inbound prospects through structured follow-up campaigns until conversion or disqualification
- Track lead source and conversion data accurately in Zoho CRM
Assigned Account Management
- Own the complete sales cycle for assigned accounts and opportunities, including high-volume standard orders
- Build and maintain relationships with assigned existing customers to ensure retention and repeat business
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within assigned accounts; pursue with the same discipline applied to new prospects
- Coordinate with Manufacturing and Estimating to develop accurate quotes and manage delivery expectations
- Negotiate pricing within established guidelines and process orders through to fulfillment
New Product Launch Outreach
- Execute targeted outbound calling campaigns for new product line launches as directed by the Sales Manager and Product Division
- Track market response, prospect feedback, and objections; summarize and report to the Product Division
- Build initial pipeline for new product sales and identify potential channel partners or strategic accounts for Outside Sales to engage
- Collect and file outreach data (following company procedures)
- Support Marketing with targeted outreach and collateral distribution for campaign initiatives
CRM & Pipeline Data
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for all prospects, accounts, activities, and opportunities in Zoho CRM
- Track and report on call volume, lead sources, conversion rates, pipeline value, and sales metrics on a weekly basis
- Generate pipeline analysis and forecast reports for the Sales Manager
- Ensure data consistency across all sales tools and systems
Sales Process Support
- Coordinate order processing and customer communications for inside sales opportunities
- Support the Estimating team with scope and information coordination as needed
- Process sales order documents and coordinate with Administration
- Handle routine customer service inquiries and coordinate delivery schedules
Other duties to assist other team members and departments as needed.
KPIs:
This role is structured with an expected time allocation of 70% proactive pipeline development/outbound outreach and 30% across account management, inbound management and sales administration.
Targets are set by the Sales Leadership and reviewed at least annually. Core KPIs include Processed Leads per week; Outbound touches (calls + emails); Qualified conversations; Meetings booked or supported
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an inside sales, sales development, or similar outbound-oriented role
- Demonstrated track record of consistent outbound calling activity and pipeline generation, not just inbound handling
- Experience with CRM platforms (Zoho preferred); comfortable managing a high-volume, well-documented pipeline
- Familiarity with custom or engineered-to-order manufacturing products an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and standard sales tools (scheduling, video, email sequencing)
- Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience
