JKCE Probuild Contracting Corp. is a growing construction company delivering quality construction projects throughout the Lower Mainland. We are currently seeking an Assistant Site Superintendent to join our team and primarily support the successful delivery of our Langley project.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional who is looking to grow their career in site supervision and work closely with an experienced Site Superintendent and Project Manager.
Position Summary
The Assistant Site Superintendent will support the Site Superintendent with the day-to-day coordination and supervision of construction activities on the Langley project.
The successful candidate will work closely with subcontractors, trades, suppliers, consultants, and project management to help ensure that construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
This position is intended to be a hands-on site supervision and coordination role, with opportunities for increased responsibility as the project progresses.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Superintendent with the daily management and coordination of construction activities.
- Monitor construction progress and coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and deliveries.
- Assist with maintaining and updating the project schedule.
- Coordinate site activities to ensure work is completed in the proper sequence and according to the project schedule.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and other project documents.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure construction activities meet project requirements and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify deficiencies, construction issues, and potential delays.
- Follow up with subcontractors and trades to ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly.
- Assist with site logistics, material deliveries, equipment, access, and general site organization.
- Assist with daily site reports, progress tracking, photographs, documentation, and project records.
- Communicate project progress, issues, delays, and site concerns to the Site Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Attend and participate in site meetings and coordination meetings.
- Assist with inspections and coordination with consultants, inspectors, and other project stakeholders.
- Help monitor material usage, deliveries, and equipment on site.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of company safety policies and site safety requirements.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe construction site.
- Assist with quality control and project close-out activities.
- Provide hands-on support to the Site Superintendent as required.
- Perform other construction and site supervision duties reasonably assigned by the Company.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in construction, site coordination, site supervision, or a related position.
- Previous experience working on residential, commercial, or multi-family construction projects is an asset.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and site operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and project team members.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential construction issues.
- Ability to work independently while working closely with the Site Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software is an asset.
- Knowledge of BC Building Code and WorkSafeBC requirements is an asset.
- Valid driver's licence is an asset.
- Construction-related education, certification, or trade experience is an asset.

Work Location & Commute
This is a full-time, site-based position in Langley, BC. The successful candidate must have reliable transportation and be able to consistently commute to the Langley project site for the required work schedule.

Pay: $82,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
