Job description

Ivan’s Auto Body is looking for an experienced Auto Body Shop Estimator to join our agile team. Are you looking to contribute your skills and experience in a positive team environment to help build and improve the existing process? Do you constantly have great ideas and the drive to see them through?

Primarily, you will be completing estimates and approval before ordering parts and flow controlling jobs into the shop. You will monitor the stages of repair and support the production staff to minimize keys to keys cycle time and maximize customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of automotive repair processes and be able to effectively communicate with customers. Secondary tasks include coordinating with other estimators to improve our process. Finding a balance between specialization and redundancy.

Responsibilities

Manage entire Life Cycle of Assigned Repair Orders
Follow Leads, Inspect Vehicles for Damage, and Document Findings
Coordinate with Office Staff to Assign Leads
Create Repair Plan, Write Estimates, and Obtain Approval to convert Assigned Leads into Repair Orders
Order, Receive, Check and Keep Records of Required Parts and Materials
Upon Parts Arrival, Coordinate Vehicle Intake and Repair
Perform Pre and Post Diagnostics Scan
Identify Repair Challenges and Contribute to Team Production Volume Optimization
Perform Final Inspection and Test Drive before Scheduling for Delivery
Maintain Customer Satisfaction by addressing any Customer Concerns
Create and Submit All Necessary Documentation required for Payment
Aid Junior Staff in Developing their Skills
Keep up to date with ( Paid ) I-CAR training

Requirements

Collision Repair Estimating Experience
Experience with Mitchell Connect and/or Qapter
Experience working on Insurance Claims
I-CAR Platinum is an asset
Valid Driver's License
Live in or around Vancouver
Fluency in English

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

Collision Repair Estimating: 5 years (preferred)
