Position Summary
Spartan Glazing is looking for motivated and hardworking Glazier Helpers / Installers to join our growing team. Whether you are an experienced installer or looking to build a long-term career in the glazing industry, this position offers the opportunity to work alongside skilled professionals on some of British Columbia's most exciting construction projects.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, eager to learn, and takes pride in producing quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of commercial and residential glazing systems.
- Install and assist with Window Wall, Unitized Curtain Wall, Stick Curtain Wall, storefront systems, doors, and architectural glass.
- Safely transport, unload, and handle glass, aluminum, and related materials.
- Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing glazing components.
- Prepare work areas and maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with membrane application, waterproofing, and finishing installations.
- Follow installation drawings, work instructions, and supervisor direction.
- Perform quality checks to ensure installations meet Spartan's standards.
- Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Follow all WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety procedures.
- Report any safety concerns or job site issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Previous construction or glazing experience is considered an asset.
- Experience installing Window Wall, Curtain Wall, or storefront systems is an asset.
- Ability to safely lift and carry heavy materials.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License is considered an asset.
- Fall Protection certification is an asset.
- Elevated Work Platform certification is an asset.
- First Aid certification is an asset.
