ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations Supervisor will work with and assist the Operations Manager in the repair and maintenance of the building systems and equipment to achieve a high level of tenant and guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Operations Manager, in a team environment, they will assist in the overall operation of The Amazing Brentwood.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Assist with coordination and follow-up on the repair and maintenance of building mechanical, electrical, life safety, and envelope systems
- Collaborate to maintain a high level of overall property maintenance and cleanliness
- Provide leadership to a team of 4th Class Engineers, delegate work according to the schedule, and ensure that preventative maintenance is getting done in timely manner
- Liaise with tenants regarding any requests for services or information, ensuring issues and concerns are resolved to the tenant’s satisfaction
- Assist Tenant Coordination and Operation Manager during tenant build out activities
- Populate all new equipment information including warranty work and building inspections through Angus Anywhere
- Oversee in-house equipment maintenance inspections and assist in directing Everclean staff
- Assist Operations Manager on programs such as GreenCheck, RiskCheck, WorkSafe BC, SHAPE Occupational Health & Safety and BOMA Best
- Assist in meeting property energy, water and waste efficiency targets
- Work with Marketing team to coordinate projects and events supporting Marketing initiatives
- Assist Dockmaster with loading bay logistics including managing scheduling software and coordinating with both commercial and residential users
- Assist in management of Telecommunication and Audio Visual systems
- Be available for on call and weekend duties, including responding to after-hours issues as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent guest service skills and experience working with the public
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, Angus Anywhere and Maintenance Software)
- Thorough knowledge of building components, including HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems, life safety, equipment, and building envelope systems
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to operate, perform preventative maintenance and trouble shoot as required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to assess tasks and prioritize work
- Familiar with provincial health and safety legislation
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
Required Training and Experience
- 5+ years hands-on experience working with general maintenance and building systems
- Fourth Class Power Engineering Certification or Equivalent
- Facilities Management designation an asset. FMA, FMP, SMA, SMT etc.
- Pool Operator certificate an asset
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position at The Amazing Brentwood located in Burnaby, BC. Schedule will be Tuesday – Saturday, 11am-7pm or 7am-3pm.

Pay: $92,000.00-$97,000.00 per year
