The Individualized Funding Resource Centre (IFRC) Society is a non-profit organization which provides services and supports to adults with disabilities who reside in British Columbia. We provide an array of services to individuals with physical and developmental disabilities, and their families.

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families through counseling, resource coordination, and advocacy. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community by providing essential social services and fostering positive change. The Social Worker will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored care plans, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support to improve their well-being.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs, strengths, and goals
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families
Provide counseling and emotional support to clients facing various challenges
Connect clients with community resources, healthcare providers, and support services
Monitor client progress and adjust care plans as necessary
Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions and services provided
Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure access to appropriate services and rights
Supervise junior staff or interns, providing guidance and mentorship as needed
Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training sessions

Skills

Proven experience in social work or related fields
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with clients from diverse backgrounds
Ability to assess complex situations and develop effective intervention strategies
Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple cases simultaneously
Compassionate approach with a commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
Knowledge of community resources, social policies, and relevant legislation

Pay: $28.00-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
