Job Overview
As a Senior Storyboard Artist, your mastery of visual storytelling will be the guiding force behind our creative vision. Working closely with directors, producers, and clients, you’ll transform scripts into dynamic and emotionally engaging sequences that drive the story forward. You’ll play a key role in defining cinematic pacing, framing, and visual tone—while mentoring junior artists and helping shape the storytelling pipeline for the project.
Key Responsibilities

Work closely with the Storyboard Director to deeply understand script narratives and visual requirements.
- Identify key scenes, action sequences, and emotional beats, imparting your seasoned storytelling insights.
- Create detailed and dynamic storyboards that elevate the storytelling process, demonstrating mastery in composition, pacing, and character expression.
- Collaborate with directors, the production team, and other team members to maintain a consistent visual style throughout the project.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior Storyboard Artists, fostering their artistic growth and ensuring a cohesive artistic vision across the team.
- Participate actively in brainstorming sessions, lending your expertise to elevate the creative process.
- Provide constructive feedback to junior artists, refining and improving storyboards to meet the project's artistic and narrative goals.
- Iterate on storyboard frames based on feedback from the Director and Production team.
- Lead by example in meeting project deadlines, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality storyboards.
Skills and Experience

3+ years of experience as a Storyboard Artist in the 3D animation industry.
- Proficiency in Storyboard Pro; knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, and Maya is a plus.
- Strong foundation in art fundamentals, including perspective, form, composition, anatomy, and posing.
- Solid understanding of cinematic storytelling, including timing, pacing, and visual continuity.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
This is a Union position and the terms and conditions of employment are covered by a collective agreement.

Additional compensation may be considered based on experience, qualifications, and project needs, where permitted by the collective agreement.
