DISTRICT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

THE POSITION:
The Occupational Therapist will be a member of district's Inclusive Education Team and work under the supervision of the District Principal of Inclusive Education.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Integrates best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, the public, medical staff and the members of the interdisciplinary team using, oral written and computer communication means.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data from multiple sources to problem-solve and make decisions effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives and establish priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and a commitment to excellence in the provision of client care.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
ACADEMIC/WORK EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
- Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
- Eligible for or member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.

Excellent planning, organizational, prioritizing and time management skills.
- Ability to initiate change and carry out plans to completion.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Budget management.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Position requires bending, kneeling and the capability to lift 40 lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and videoconferencing platforms.
COMPENSATION:
- Current annual salary grid is $60,648.00 to $114,735.00 + the current provincial recruitment and retention allowance.
- Moving reimbursement.
