Position Overview
As an Obstetrics Registered Nurse with Augury Healthcare, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients throughout the maternity care journey, including labour, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
You will collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labour, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Performing patient assessments and monitoring maternal and fetal conditions
- Supporting labour and delivery procedures
- Administering medications, treatments, and interventions according to clinical standards
- Collaborating with physicians, midwives, and healthcare teams
- Educating patients and families on care plans, newborn care, and discharge instructions
- Recognizing changes in patient condition and responding appropriately
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Following facility policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
Qualifications
Successful candidates must have:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) registration in a Canadian province or territory
- Minimum 1 year of recent Obstetrics or Maternal-Child nursing experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- NRP certification preferred
- Fetal monitoring certification preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability and willingness to travel for assignments across Canada
