Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic financial team. In this entry-level role, you will play a vital part in supporting our accounting operations by managing data entry, processing transactions, and assisting with account reconciliation. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational accounting skills while working with a variety of industry-leading accounting software and systems. Your energetic approach and commitment to accuracy will help ensure our financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Perform data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions using software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Workday.
Assist in processing payroll using systems like ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, UltiPro, or PeopleSoft.
Support account reconciliation efforts by reviewing ledger entries and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Maintain accurate records of financial documents, invoices, receipts, and transaction logs.
Help with account analysis to identify trends or issues that require further investigation.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of payments and collections.
Contribute to bookkeeping activities by organizing financial data and preparing reports as needed.

Qualifications

Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Experience or familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet applications for data analysis.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Math skills sufficient for account analysis and budget tracking.
