Summary

We are looking for an Addiction Counselor to join our team at Centres for Health and Healing. This role is crucial in providing compassionate support and guidance to individuals struggling with addiction, helping them navigate their recovery journey in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support clients in their recovery process.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and treatment outcomes.
Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery strategies, and available resources.

Requirements

Degree in psychology, social work, or a related field; certification in addiction counseling preferred.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to addiction treatment.
Experience in case management or patient care is highly desirable.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children and families.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
