Role Summary
Are you a detail-oriented Quality Professional with a passion for precision and manufacturing excellence? Trinity is looking for a Quality CMM Inspector to join our team.
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will play a critical role in executing daily incoming, in-process, and final inspections. Utilizing both automated and manual verification methods, you will ensure our safety, quality, and production standards are consistently achieved. Your role will be responsible for:
- Comprehensive Inspection: Perform receiving inspections on raw materials and purchased components, as well as first-off, in-process, and final inspections.
- CMM & Manual Verification: Utilize PC-DMIS CMM programming alongside manual measuring tools to ensure all dimensional requirements are strictly within tolerance.
- Documentation & Reporting: Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and generate comprehensive FAI reports. Maintain accurate inspection, material receipt, and daily shift logs.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when discrepancies are found. Identify potential quality risks and research corrective/preventative actions (CAPA).
- Equipment Care: Manage the calibration and maintenance records for all small tools and inspection equipment.
- Cross-Functional Support: Assist with shipping, part marking, and inventory management as needed.
- Safety First: Comply with all company handbook guidelines and standard Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
What you need to succeed in this role:
- Technical Expertise: Proven CMM programming experience using PC-DMIS software is required.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Education: College certificate or diploma in a related technical field is preferred.
- Blueprint Literacy: Strong ability to review, interpret, and analyze complex technical drawings, manuals, and mylars.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of manual measuring tools and equipment. Familiarity with ISO9000 or AS9100 standards is considered a strong asset.
- Communication: Excellent command of the English language (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Autonomy: Proven ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision and handle deadlines within a busy, complex environment.

- Strong organizational, coordination, and time-management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly when addressing and managing quality or customer concerns.
- Competent computer skills for data entry, logging, and reporting.
