We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer with extensive experience in ServiceNow Discovery, IT Operations Management (ITOM), and CMDB integrations. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing ServiceNow Discovery solutions, developing custom discovery patterns and integrations, and ensuring accurate configuration item (CI) population within the CMDB.
This role requires strong technical expertise in ServiceNow platform development, infrastructure discovery, network protocols, and enterprise systems integration across both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Design, configure, implement, and maintain ServiceNow Discovery and MID Server environments.

Develop and customize Discovery probes, sensors, patterns, and identification rules to support complex infrastructure environments.

Configure and optimize ServiceNow Discovery for on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and virtualized environments.

Integrate ServiceNow with third-party monitoring, infrastructure, cloud, and asset management tools to support automated CMDB population and maintenance.

Troubleshoot Discovery performance issues, credential challenges, and data quality concerns.

Ensure accurate identification, classification, and reconciliation of Configuration Items (CIs) within the CMDB.

Develop and maintain integrations using REST APIs, web services, JDBC connections, and other enterprise integration methods.

Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams to onboard and maintain discovery coverage across the organization.

Support CMDB governance initiatives, data quality improvements, and service mapping activities.

Document technical designs, configurations, processes, and operational procedures.

Provide technical guidance and best practices related to ServiceNow Discovery, ITOM, and CMDB management.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience configuring and administering ServiceNow Discovery and MID Servers.

Minimum 5 years of experience developing and maintaining custom Discovery probes, sensors, and patterns.

Proven experience implementing Discovery solutions across both on-premises and cloud-based environments.

Minimum 5 years of experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party platforms and automating CMDB population.

Strong understanding of CMDB architecture, CI relationships, identification and reconciliation processes.

Deep knowledge of network and infrastructure discovery protocols including:
- SNMP

WMI
-
SSH
-
REST/SOAP APIs

JDBC
- Experience managing credential-based discovery and access configurations.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within enterprise ServiceNow environments.

Experience working with infrastructure technologies including servers, databases, network devices, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Discovery.

ServiceNow ITOM certification.

Experience with Service Mapping and Event Management.

Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.

Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
