Position Overview
MegaSales and Marketing Inc. is seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to lead the development and growth of our Alberta and British Columbia markets.
Representing a portfolio of industry-leading supplier partners, the successful candidate will serve as a trusted extension of their sales organizations while managing existing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities across the home improvement channel.
This position offers a unique opportunity to build and shape a growing territory, increase market penetration, and play a key role in expanding MegaSales and Marketing Inc’s presence throughout Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and execution of a strategic growth plan for Alberta and British Columbia.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.
- Conduct regular sales calls, business reviews, and prospecting activities throughout the territory.
- Present products, programs, merchandising opportunities, and business solutions that drive growth.
- Secure new listings, displays, promotions, and expanded product distribution while monitoring market trends and competitive activity.
- Build long-term customer partnerships through exceptional service and support.
- Assist customers with assortment planning, merchandising, inventory management, and promotional execution.
- Deliver product knowledge and sales training to store management and staff.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to identify opportunities and resolve issues.
- Professionally represent supplier partners within the marketplace.
- Participate in trade shows, dealer events, buying group meetings, customer open houses and Pro Events, and other industry functions as required.
- Communicate customer feedback, market intelligence, and growth opportunities to management and supplier partners.
- Work collaboratively with internal sales leadership to execute strategic initiatives and sales programs.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, sales activities, and territory development efforts.
- Submit timely call reports, expense reports, and territory updates.
- Provide regular updates regarding sales performance, market conditions, competitive activity, and growth opportunities.
- Utilize CRM and reporting tools to effectively manage territory activities and customer relationships.
Target Customer Channels
The Territory Sales Representative will call on a variety of customers within the home improvement industry, including but not limited to:
- Home Hardware
- RONA
- Castle Building Centres
- TIMBER MART
- Windsor Plywood
- Specialty Paint and Coatings Retailers
- Independent Lumber and Building Material Dealers
- Specialty Home Improvement Retailers
- Additional retail and dealer accounts as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably within the home improvement, building materials, paint, hardware, flooring, or related industries.
- Experience selling to retail, dealer, or distribution channels within the home improvement industry is considered a strong asset.
- Proven ability to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
- Demonstrated success managing a sales territory and achieving sales objectives.
- Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with technology and CRM systems.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle, with ability to travel extensively throughout Alberta and British Columbia.

Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
