About us

Central Okanagan Property Management Ltd. is a small business in Vernon, BC V1T 9R4. We are professional, agile, professional and our goal is to build solid team of people to work togather in civil work.

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated Groundworker to join our team. As a Groundworker, you will be responsible for assisting in various tasks related to grounds maintenance and construction projects.

**Duties:**

Be able to read and understand engineered drawings
Must have Ground Disturbance level 2
Have a safety-focused attitude
Be able to set up a pipe laser and understand pipe installation fundamentals
Safely and accurately direct heavy duty equipment
Lead in the installation of general pipe, utilities & backfilling processes
Valid Class 5 Driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract
Good working knowledge of pipe grading and an understanding of safe work practices pertaining to municipal and utility-based construction
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical drawings
Must have strong time management skills and problem-solving abilities
Must be a self-motivated individual who works well with others
Must be in good physical condition / health (capable of physical labour)
First Aid certification an asset
Strong working knowledge of deep utility installations including various types and sizes of piping, manholes, catch basins etc
Strong working knowledge of shallow utility installations including various conduits, service boxes and vaults
Strong civil earthworks abilities including simple to complex bulk excavations, shaping, grading and restorations to underside of asphalt or concrete

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
