Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction helper to support our construction projects. This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople with various tasks on-site, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of construction processes and be eager to learn new skills in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
Handle hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation under supervision
Support concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks such as concrete pouring and curing
Aid in carpentry work including cabinet installation, framing, and general woodwork
Participate in masonry, tile laying, flooring installation, and electrical work as needed
Perform plumbing tasks and assist with construction painting and restoration projects
Support caulking, drywall installation, and other finishing activities
Help estimate project materials and prepare job sites for upcoming work
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency

Experience

Basic knowledge of construction techniques and tools is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Experience with blueprint reading, schematics, or construction estimating is a plus
Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery is advantageous
Prior experience in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or restoration projects is beneficial
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team
Strong attention to safety protocols and willingness to learn industry best practices
