Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Industrial Welder Fabricators to support Lumber Mill projects in the United States with installation of major manufacturing equipment and structural steel.
This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, blueprint reading, and welding fabrication expertise required for Lumber Mill manufacturing. Experience in Industrial Sawmills/Lumber Mills and with mill manufacturing equipment is Mandatory. Familiarity with other trades is expected.

Minimum 84 hours per week. Regular plus OT pay. Plus $150 USD Living Out Allowance (LOA) paid in Canadian equivalent for each day worked. Flights provided. Rental vehicles provided (ride-sharing with others). Travel Medical Insurance provided.

Requirements
- Submit ticket with application
- Minimum 2 years experience in welding and construction fabrication in industrial Sawmill/Planer Mill
- Minimum 2 years experience with heavy Forestry Systems & Equipment (i.e. Conveyors, Crushers, Stackers, Trimline Systems, Merchandisers, Planers, Edgers)
- Blue-print reading skills (with or without drawings), and schematic interpretation skills
- Mechanical experience with equipment assembly, installation, completions, commissioning
- Familiarity with rigging, crane operation and forklift handling
- In-depth familiarity with all welding processes, fabrication, equipment and tools used with structural steel and rotating equipment.
- Math skills necessary for measurements and calculations
- Excellent communication skills and superior work ethic
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong focus on Safety
- Must be able to work unsupervised at times and as part of a team in a rapid-paced environment
- Must be drug free **
- Willing to work days, nights, weekends and to travel to the USA **
- Current Safety or Training Certificates an asset (i.e., Fall Arrest, Aerial Platform, Forklift Operator)
- Red Seal Ticket an asset
Specifics
- Adhere to all required Safety standards, specifications and governing regulations
- Analyze schematics and blueprints to determine material requirements and plan the sequence of fabrication.
- Weld, fabricate, plan, assemble and install heavy manufacturing equipment and structural steel.
- Determine welding equipment, methods, techniques and measurements to ensure optimal welds and conformance with designs and specifications.
- Perform scope alongside other trades i.e. Millwrights, Electricians.
- Identify issues and hazards and troubleshoot accordingly.
- Perform visual examination of work pieces for defects and ensure conformance with specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings and take measurements to plan layout and procedures.
