As our clinic continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Dental Administrator who is passionate about delivering an outstanding patient experience and contributing to a positive, high-performing team culture.
About the Role
The Senior Dental Administrator plays a critical role in creating a welcoming and seamless experience for our patients while supporting the efficient operation of our busy practice.
This position is ideal for an experienced dental administrator who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, coordinating complex schedules, and helping patients navigate treatment and insurance processes with confidence.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Experience
- Welcome and assist patients in a friendly, professional manner
- Respond to patient inquiries by phone, email, and in person
- Support a positive and compassionate patient experience
- Address patient concerns and escalate issues appropriately
Scheduling & Treatment Coordination Support
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- Manage provider schedules and treatment sequencing
- Support recall and reactivation systems
- Assist with appointment confirmations and follow-up communications
- Help optimize scheduling efficiency and patient flow
Insurance & Financial Administration
- Process insurance claims and pre-authorizations
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits
- Prepare treatment estimates
- Explain financial information clearly and professionally
- Support collections and outstanding account follow-up as required
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Support clinicians and treatment coordinators with administrative needs
- Assist with workflow improvements and process consistency
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 2 years of dental administration experience
- Strong understanding of dental insurance processes and billing procedures
- Knowledge of BCDA fee guides and treatment estimates
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service orientation
Preferred
- Experience with Power Practice software
- Experience in a multi-provider dental practice
- Experience supporting orthodontic, implant, or surgical treatment workflows
- Clinical dental experience is considered an asset
