Role Description:
This role is for a Drone Operator / Exterior Cleaning Technician based in the Victoria area. While drone operations are a key part of the position, this is also a physically demanding field role involving pressure washing, equipment handling, hose management, and job site setup/takedown.
You will assist with all aspects of commercial exterior cleaning operations, both in the air and on the ground. This is not a hobby flying position, rather a production-focused commercial role with performance expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate drone cleaning systems for exterior cleaning and inspections
- Perform manual pressure washing and soft washing using ground-based equipment
- Manage hoses, pumps, filtration systems, generators, and support equipment
- Set up and dismantle work sites safely and efficiently
- Conduct equipment inspections and pre-operation checks
- Assist with maintenance of drones, pumps, hoses, and vehicles
- Follow company safety procedures and WorkSafeBC standards
- Work extended hours during peak operating conditions
- Represent the company professionally on active commercial job sites
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate assignments.
- Coordinate with clients and on-site staff to ensure project success.
- Ensure drone operations are conducted safely and in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide feedback to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Interest in drones, technology, and exterior cleaning operations
- Previous experience with heavy-lift drones is preferred
- Strong understanding of drone safety regulations and best practices
- Experience with building maintenance and/or inspection is an asset
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle physical tasks related to equipment setup and manual cleaning when required
- Mechanically inclined with problem-solving ability
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor, physical work in various weather conditions
- Ability to work at height
- Flexible schedule including evening and weekend shifts, when necessary
- Occasional travel to different job sites.
