About the Job

We are currently looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk/Quality Control to join our team. This is a combined position where you can expect to perform a combination of any of the following duties:

Shipping Receiving Clerk:

Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against the purchase orders.
Inspect and document any damages or discrepancies and report them to the supervisor.
Ensure that all shipments are properly labeled and stored in the designated areas.
Prepare and package outgoing shipments, including proper labeling and documentation
Keep accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area

Key Skills

Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including inventory management
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with computer systems and software
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional local deliveries

Quality Control:

Inspection and testing: conducting visual checks, measuring dimensions, testing functionality, and inspecting materials to ensure they meet specifications.
Documentation: Recording inspection results, maintaining detailed, accurate records.
Quality Control Reporting: Reporting defects or malfunctions to supervisors and assisting in identifying the root cause of issues.
Using checklists and reading blueprints/technical drawings

Key Skills

Attention to Detail: Meticulous examination to catch minor defects.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of product specifications and, for some roles, specialized knowledge in textiles, mechanics, or electronics.
Communication: Clearly reporting issues to production teams.
Problem-Solving: Identifying the cause of defects and suggesting solutions.

Additional Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Flexible schedule - shift work may be required

Must be physically fit and regularly able to lift 50 pounds
