We are currently seeking an Architectural Technologist with strong proficiency in Revit and experience producing detailed construction documentation. The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of building codes and multi-disciplinary coordination, along with exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and consistently deliver high-quality work within project deadlines is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform conceptual and schematic designs into detailed construction documents using Revit.
- Prepare and review drawings to ensure compliance with applicable specifications, codes, and standards, while performing drafting and technical tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development of schematic designs, design development packages, construction documents, and supplementary drawings.
- Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with office production requirements, formatting standards, and project specifications.
- Coordinate working drawing information with Senior Technologists and support the Project Lead in integrating construction documentation across all disciplines.
- Collaborate effectively as part of an integrated project delivery team.
- Utilize Revit to develop and maintain 3D models and produce project drawings as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in architectural technology or a related discipline.
- Certification with CTTAM and/or ABTAM is considered an asset.
- Experience within commercial and/or residential construction sectors is considered an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, including 3D modeling and the production of construction documentation; experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant design software is required.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience reviewing and coordinating architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize competing priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and quality.
