Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Drone Pilot to operate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for various applications, including aerial surveys, inspections, and media production. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent time management, and analysis abilities to ensure safe and efficient drone operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment, contributing to innovative projects across multiple industries.

Responsibilities

Operate drones safely and legally for roof inspections and aerial imaging
Capture high-quality photos and video for residential and commercial roofing projects
Perform aerial roof assessments and identify visible deficiencies or damage
Assist with measurements, mapping, and inspection documentation
Upload and organize drone footage and inspection files
Support estimating and project management teams with field data
Follow Transport Canada drone regulations and company safety procedures- Conduct pre-flight equipment inspections and maintain drone equipment
Communicate professionally with clients and team members on-site- Assist with marketing content and project progress documentation when required## Requirements
Experience operating drones/UAVs preferred- Transport Canada Basic or Advanced Drone Certification considered an asset
Comfortable working outdoors and around active construction sites- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License preferred- Basic roofing or construction knowledge is considered an asset
Experience with photography, videography, or inspection software is an asset.
Preferred Skills- Drone mapping or thermal imaging experience- Knowledge of roofing systems and building envelopes- Experience using DJI drones and inspection software

Pay: $17.85-$46.02 per hour
