The Opportunity

EMBERS Staffing is looking for an experienced Carpenter Helper to support active construction projects in Victoria. This is hands-on work where your craftsmanship and knowledge of the trade will be put to use from day one — working alongside experienced carpenters, site supervisors and crews to deliver quality results on time and to code.

This is a full time, ongoing position with one of our biggest clients in construction.

What You'll Be Doing

Performing general carpentry work on active construction sites
Helping to install and repair doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures to a high standard of finish
Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing building materials
Assisting with framing, formwork, finishing, and other carpentry-related tasks
Reading and following drawings, site instructions, and project specifications
Transporting materials, tools, and equipment around the work site
Operating hand tools and power tools efficiently throughout the workday
Working in a physically demanding environment — this role requires prolonged standing, climbing, lifting, and carrying heavy materials
Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe
Assisting with general site duties as needed

What You Need

Minimum 1 year of experience with carpentry work
Ability to use carpentry tools and equipment safely and effectively
Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings with confidence
Comfortable operating a range of hand and power tools
Able to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality or safety
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and in various weather conditions
Fall protection is an asset
Reliable, safety-conscious, and professional
