What We Offer
$25.00–$30.00/hour depending on experience
- Starting part-time at up to 20 hours per week, with the intention of growing into full-time employment as the division expands
- Primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional Sunday and weekend work depending on client moving schedules
- Typical shifts occur between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM
- Paid bi-weekly via direct deposit

About This Role
This is not simply a moving position.
As a Mover / Professional Driver with The Kind Hearted Company, you will be the face of our brand on one of the most significant days of a client’s life. You will operate a 5-ton, 28-foot box truck safely and professionally throughout Greater Victoria and surrounding regions. While many moves occur within Greater Victoria, KHC also performs residential moves up to 160 kilometres from Victoria city centre, including moves up-Island and, at times, to the Mainland. Flexibility for longer-distance moves is important in this role.
This role combines professional driving, residential and commercial moving, junk removal services, client-facing customer service, and hands-on teamwork. No two days look exactly the same. What never changes is the standard.
The right person for this role is a skilled, trustworthy professional who takes ownership from the moment the truck rolls out to the moment it is back, cleaned, and ready for the next job.
What You’ll Do
You will:
- Safely operate a 5-ton, 28-foot box truck for residential and commercial moves throughout Greater Victoria and surrounding regions, including occasional long-distance moves within our 160-kilometre service area
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to a professional standard
- Load and unload furniture, appliances, and household items with care and efficiency
- Secure loads safely for transport, protecting client property at every stage
- Assist with junk removal services as operationally required
- Work collaboratively with moving crew members throughout the shift
- Deliver professional, courteous customer service to clients on-site throughout the move
- Maintain truck cleanliness, organization, and equipment to a professional standard
- Follow all company safety procedures and standards on every job

Physical Requirements
This is physically demanding work. We want to be clear about what that means so you can make an informed decision about whether this role is the right fit for you.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of furniture, appliances, and boxes throughout the shift
- Ability to safely lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs repeatedly over the course of a full shift
- Repetitive bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling throughout the day
- Loading and unloading trucks, navigating stairs, narrow hallways, and varied building layouts
- Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout Greater Victoria
- Physical stamina required to maintain quality and professionalism throughout long moving days

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of professional moving experience (residential, commercial, or both)
- Demonstrated experience driving a 5-ton or similar large moving truck
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Clean driving abstract (required, will be requested)
- Reliable personal transportation to and from work
- Currently located in Greater Victoria, BC
- Legally authorized to work in Canada (no visa sponsorship available)
- Strong English communication skills for both client interactions and crew coordination
- Excellent customer service instincts, you understand that every client interaction matters
- Punctual, reliable, and accountable, without needing to be chased
- Comfortable with a variable schedule and genuine availability for weekend work when required
