What We Offer
Broadmead Care is an exceptional employer with an amazing reputation. With five Care Homes located on Southern Vancouver Island, we offer competitive wages, shift and weekend premiums, extended health benefits, generous vacation and statutory holiday bank allotments, and many other unique benefits such as our maternity/parental leave top-up and mental health and wellness resources.
Our auxiliary employees receive $0.80/hour to a maximum of $56.00/bi-weekly pay period in lieu of benefits and earn vacation pay at the rate of 6% of regular earnings paid on a bi-weekly basis.
We are members of the BC Public Service Pension Plan that has transfer agreements with most provincial Public Service Pension Plans.
The Role
The LPN provides safe, compassionate nursing care to residents in collaboration with RNs, RPNs and other health care providers within a multidisciplinary team. The LPN carries out nursing functions related the direct care of clients and residents of Broadmead Care, including providing clinical direction to the Health Care Workers. This work performed in accordance with the Professional Standards of Practice for the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as the purpose and values of Broadmead Care.
What You Bring
Along with your passion for exceptional care, you are:
· A graduate of a recognized practical nursing program
· Registered with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
Experience with long-term care an asset. All employees must provide proof of a negative TB screen and report their vaccination status as a condition of employment.
