Our team is passionate about warm hospitality, exceptional service, and creating genuine connections with every guest. We are currently seeking a full-time Bell / Valet Attendant to join our Guest Services team.
Position Overview
As a Bell / Valet Attendant, you will play an important role in creating an exceptional first and last impression for our guests. This guest-facing position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in professional service, and thrives in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment.
The successful candidate will assist with guest arrivals and departures, luggage handling, valet parking, local recommendations, room service deliveries, and a variety of guest service requests. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to deliver anticipatory service with warmth and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and provide a polished, professional first impression.
- Assist guests with luggage during check-in, check-out, and room moves.
- Safely valet park and retrieve guest vehicles.
- Provide helpful information about local restaurants, attractions, directions, transportation, and hotel amenities.
- Assist with guest service requests in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
- Deliver room service orders and other guest items as required.
- Support the Front Office and Guest Services team with daily operations.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the hotel entrance and bell/valet areas.
- Follow all hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures.
- Assist with banquet items, linen carts, luggage storage, and other physical tasks as needed.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A genuine passion for hospitality, guest service, and creating memorable experiences!
- Professional, polished appearance suitable for a luxury boutique hotel environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service attitude with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy, guest-focused environment.
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Effective listening skills and the ability to anticipate guest needs.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving guest luggage, carts, and other hotel items.
- Familiarity with Victoria restaurants, attractions, events, and local directions is an asset.
- Knowledge of hotel safety and emergency procedures is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel, valet, bell, guest services, or customer service experience is an asset.
- Valid BC driver’s licence with a clean driving record is required.
- Ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle is required.
- Serving It Right certification is required or must be obtained upon hire.
- Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Pay & Benefits
- Starting wage of $25.00 per hour, with future wage progression opportunities based on demonstrated performance, successful completion of training, operational needs, availability, and cross-training in additional areas such as Front Desk operations.
- Full-time permanent position, approximately 40 hours per week.
- Medical and dental benefits available after successful completion of the probationary period, subject to minimum hours worked.
