Rocky Point Engineering is a highly successful Mechanical Consulting Engineering firm with 7 offices across British Columbia and we are seeking candidates with both education and experience in plumbing and mechanical system design.
Description:
We are seeking a self-motivated Mechanical Design Engineer or Design Technologist with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical drafting and design using REVIT and AutoCAD. The successful candidate will be involved in HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection design.

Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily limited to the following:
- Setup AutoCAD/Revit drawings using company AutoCAD/Revit design and CAD standards
- HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection drafting as per mark-ups provided by Design Staff
- Detailed review of work performed prior to submitting completed drafting to Design team and working within company’s organizational quality management system
- Performing various other duties as assigned by the manager
Minimum Skills /Qualifications:
- University degree, college/technology diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2+ years design and AutoCAD experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2+ years experience with HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection design
- Able to read Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical drawings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet project deadlines
- Revit experience is preferred including 2+ years BIM experience with Revit MEP
- Ability to model mechanical HVAC and plumbing systems in Revit

Compensation:
Compensation levels will be based on relevant experience, experience level, relevant skills, professional qualifications, role and responsibilities and will be in the range of $60,000 to $90,000 per Anum.
