Hours
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1‑hour unpaid lunch)
- Saturday (on call); seasonal overtime (May through October)
About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Parts Manager, the Parts Manager will lead the parts department at our High River location. This role oversees in-store counter sales, inventory, purchasing, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, and the supervision of parts and warehouse staff.
What You’ll Do
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers by identifying parts needs, answering inquiries, preparing quotes, and processing orders in a timely manner.
- Research parts availability, source products through catalogues, systems, suppliers, or other locations, and coordinate delivery or pickup when required.
- Manage purchasing, receiving, purchase orders, receipts of goods, inventory updates, stock put-away, and daily cash balancing.
- Track stock levels, participate in cycle counts, maintain accurate records, and support timely reporting and paperwork.
- Coordinate with Service, Sales, Shipping/Receiving, suppliers, and customers to ensure parts are available and allocated to work orders as needed.
- Supervise and support parts counter, technician, and warehouse staff, providing backup support as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized parts counter and warehouse area.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
Physical Requirements
- Stand or walk for 8+ hours; ability to bend, kneel, squat, reach, twist, and use ladders or stairs
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
- Comfortable in a warehouse setting wearing PPE
Qualifications & Skills
- Journeyperson Parts Technician Certificate preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in an agricultural parts and/or service environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and previous exposure to agricultural parts, equipment, and related documents.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, parts research tools, technical information systems; PIM, and CDK IntelliDealer experience considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, team members, suppliers, and other departments.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage time effectively while maintaining accurate records, reports, forms, time, and materials.
- Positive team attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Valid driver’s license required; forklift experience considered an asset.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts readily to evolving role-related priorities and responsibilities beyond those outlined in this profile.
