Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food preparation and safety standards, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. The Food Service Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining high-quality food service, fostering team development, and upholding food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer experiences
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
Manage POS systems for order processing and cash handling
Lead, train, and evaluate team members; conduct interviews and assist with staffing decisions
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage kitchen stock to prevent shortages
Enforce cleanliness and sanitation standards across the restaurant or food service area
Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Assist in restaurant management tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and maintaining operational efficiency
Collaborate with management on menu planning, special events, or promotional activities

Requirements

Proven experience in food service or restaurant management; supervising experience preferred
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling experience required
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Ability to oversee food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations
Previous experience in hotel or hospitality industry is a plus; barista or serving experience is advantageous
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of restaurant management software and inventory control systems
Leadership qualities including team management, interviewing skills, and problem-solving abilities
