Brooks Pharmasave is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to join our patient-focused community pharmacy located in Brooks. Situated along Highway 1, Brooks is approximately two hours from Calgary and within driving distance of Edmonton and an hour drive from Medicine Hat. New graduates and pharmacists relocating from outside Alberta are encouraged to apply. We provide mentorship and support for obtaining Alberta licensure and working toward Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) for those interested in expanding their scope.
Your Role
As a Staff Pharmacist, you will deliver patient-centered care while supporting daily pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include safe and accurate medication dispensing, patient counselling, identifying and resolving drug-related problems, and providing clinical services such as vaccinations, medication administration, medication reviews, prescription adaptations, and minor ailment assessments. Maintaining proper documentation and collaborating with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow are also key responsibilities.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy or eligible for licensure in Alberta. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential. Injection certification and Additional Prescribing Authorization are assets, though support will be provided for eligible candidates.
Pharmacists currently located in Calgary, Edmonton, Medicine Hat, or elsewhere in Alberta who are interested in relocating to Brooks are encouraged to apply.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65.00-$75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.0 – 40.0 per week
