Reporting to Food Store Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
- Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
- Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
- Serve guests, pack groceries, stock, and face shelves.
- Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department; clean up breakage and spills, clean shelves, bins and displays as needed, and keep aisles free of debris.
- Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company policies, procedure, and standards in social responsibility and the selling of age restricted items relating to wine, spirits, beer, tobacco and lottery.
- Operate point of sale system and other electronic devices and process sales.
- Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf; follow first in first out (FIFO).
- Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service:
- You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and are proud of the work that you do.
- You are 19 years of age or older, strongly service oriented and motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
- You are well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
- You are familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
- You must be willing and able to obtain WHMIS and Serve it Right certifications.
- You are attentive to detail and have strong cash management skills.
- You have the ability to fulfill physical job requirements, - standing, kneeling, crouching, and performing heavy lifting regularly.
- You have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest facing environment.
- You have a flexible work schedule weekends and holiday work is required.
