Registered Early Childhood Educator
Before and After School Split Shift-5-6 hrs a day

The Family Centre Childcare Centre is looking to hire a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE). In this role, you will provide nurturing care and developmentally appropriate education to meet the needs of children in a group setting within a safe and healthy environment and in cooperation with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
Salary: $27.35-$29.25 per hour. We offer a premium of $2.00 an hour when working in a split shift with school-age children
Hours: approx 6:30 am -10:30 am/2:30 pm-5:30 pm
Location: Wallaceburg
Position Type: Contract Closing date: January 30, 2026

In this role, you will…
Participate in a child-focused curriculum in which staff and children work together to develop a wide range of skills and competencies based on the emergent curriculum philosophy. An emergent curriculum builds upon the interests of the children. It is often spontaneous and responsive to their immediate interests; topics are driven by the ideas and questions from the children themselves
Engage in caring, curious, and respectful interactions with children to support their growing relationships with themselves, each other, and the natural world
Actively encourage and promote outdoor learning and play with the children
Be committed to the welfare and development of all children, and be available for consultation, information, and resources for families and guardians
Welcome the diversity of all families, role modelling inclusive and accessible language
To qualify for this role, you must have...
Diploma in Early Childhood Education (RECE in good standing with the CECE)
or a 2-year diploma in Child and Youth Worker or Developmental Support Worker
Experience working with children in a group setting
Clear Police Records check
Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certification-Level C
Proven ability to work closely with other team members
Sensitivity and respect for individual and cultural differences
Adequate energy level and ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
