We are seeking a Process Engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working at the intersection of operations, engineering, and innovation. In this role, you'll support and optimize anaerobic digestion and gas upgrading processes across our North American portfolio while contributing to the design, commissioning, and continuous improvement of new and existing facilities.

What You'll Do
As a Process Engineer, you will serve as a technical resource across our operating facilities and development projects. Key responsibilities include:
Operations & Process Optimization
- Provide process engineering expertise to support operational challenges and performance improvements at operating facilities.
- Monitor, review, and optimize anaerobic digestion and RNG purification processes across multiple North American sites.
- Analyze process performance data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions and optimization opportunities.
- Troubleshoot process issues and collaborate with site teams to improve reliability, efficiency, and production performance.
Engineering & Project Support
- Conduct process engineering assessments for both operating facilities and new project developments.
- Participate in design reviews and provide process engineering input throughout project development and execution.
- Support facility commissioning, startup activities, and operational readiness initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to implement process improvements and capital projects.
Safety & Operational Excellence
- Contribute to the development and review of:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs)
- Process and task risk assessments
- Basic process control strategies
- Promote safe operating practices and support process safety initiatives across the organization.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational performance, reduce costs, increase production, and improve process reliability.
- Support cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Engineering, Finance, Business Development, and other departments as needed.
What You BringRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant process engineering experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals and their practical application in continuous process operations.
- Experience analyzing process data and solving operational challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with anaerobic digestion, biogas, renewable natural gas (RNG), wastewater treatment, or related process industries.
- Familiarity with process safety management principles and process hazard analysis methodologies.
- Experience supporting commissioning, startup, or operational optimization projects.
- Knowledge of process control systems and process performance monitoring.

Work Environment
This position combines remote work with regular field visits to operating facilities. Candidates should be comfortable working in industrial environments that may include:

- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Travel throughout Canada, the United States, and occasionally the United Kingdom.

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
