Behaviour Avenues is an Ontario Autism Program (OAP) approved service provider offering evidence- based behaviour therapy programs to children and youth with autism and other intellectual disabilities using Applied Behaviour Analysis principles in the London and surrounding areas. All programs and treatment plans are developed and overseen by the clinical supervisor who is a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA).
Behaviour Avenues is currently hiring for ABA therapist positions in Woodstock ON.
Summary: Under the supervision of the clinical supervisor who is a Registered Behaviour Analsyt (RBA), the supervised ABA behaviour therapist is responsible to deliver ABA skill building programs and behaviour treatment plans to children and adolescents with autism and other intellectual disabilities in the client home or community settings.

Qualifications:
· BA in psychology or education with formal training in Applied Behaviour Analysis, and/or a college diploma in Autism and Behavioural Sciences, or Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT). Special Education Teachers (OCT) will be considered.
· Master degree or pursuing a master degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis/ Supervised practice with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
· Master degree in counselling psychology, teaching students with disabilities.
· Minimum 1 year experience working with autistic children or youth and delivering ABA skill building programs as well as behaviour reduction interventions in Canada.
· Must have access to a reliable car and a G class driver’s license.
· Valid NVCI (CPI) training or Safe Management training
· Must have a recent vulnerable sector check (less than 6 month)
· Must be able to work on a flexible schedule (after school and weekend hours)
Responsibilities:
· Implementing one to one skill building programs such as functional communication, fine motor skills, functional living skills, social skills, transitions, and other pivotal skills.
· Developing and implementing academic and executive functioning skills, including community navigation skills.
· Developing program material for the therapy sessions
· Documenting session summaries, collecting data, and graphing
· Attending supervision and team meetings
· Helping with assessments and material preparations
· Following and Implementing behaviour support plans to reduce challenging behaviours
Skills:
· Solid experience and fluency in delivering skill building programs (Discrete Trials Training, Natural Environment Training, Incidental Teaching, Direct Instruction)
· Experience teaching functional communication and verbal behaviour skills
· Solid experience with data collection, graphing, and progress report writing
· Knowledge and familiarity with clinical assessments such as VBMAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS
· knowledge and experience in Functional Behaviour Assessments and behaviour intervention plans
· Ability to work with children and adolescents who exhibit challenging behaviours
· Establishing and maintaining good rapport and communication with parents
· Demonstrates ability to work within a team
· Enthusiastic and creative
· Strong commitment to ethics and professionalism
· Highly organized and excellent time management skills
· Ability to work independently and adhering to treatment plans
· Using technology (educational apps, Microsoft Teams, zoom)
Job type: Part time with potential to full time- Yearly contract
