About JTM Cake Studio & Cafe

We're a small, family-run bakery café in the business of making people happy — through custom cakes, specialty drinks, and a space where community feels like home. Every shift matters here, and every team member shapes what we're building.

The Role

We're looking for a part-time Cafe Team Member to support both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. This is a versatile, hands-on role — ideal for someone who thrives with variety, takes pride in their work, and wants to be a genuine part of something growing.

What you'll do:

Welcome guests warmly, take orders accurately, and operate our POS system
Prepare and serve café drinks (training provided)
Package baked goods and keep the display stocked and looking beautiful
Support light kitchen tasks and basic food prep as needed
Keep the café guest-ready at all times — clean as you go: counters, dishes, floors, washrooms, restocks
Help set up, host, and reset occasional events and workshops
Notice what needs doing and take care of it — without waiting to be asked

What we're looking for:

1–2 years of customer service experience (café, food service, or retail preferred)
Genuine interest in coffee, baking, or hospitality — we'll train the right person
Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
A positive, team-first attitude and clear communication
Flexible availability (we'll build a consistent schedule together as we settle in) - day-time during the weekdays and weekend/holiday availability is necessary!
