Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, performance-driven Manager of Clinical Services to join our team. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide dynamic clinical leadership and operational oversight across a continuum of child and youth mental health services, ensuring programs are responsive, evidence-informed, family-centred, and aligned with organizational priorities and Ministry requirements.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Leading and inspiring interdisciplinary clinical teams in the delivery of a client- and family-centred model of care focused on service excellence, accessibility, equity, and positive outcomes for children, youth, and families.
· Providing clinical and operational oversight for a range of community-based mental health programs and services, including:
- Early Years Programs;
- Child and Youth Treatment Groups;
- Parent and Caregiver Groups and Workshops;
- Day Treatment Services; and
- Case Management Services.
· Supporting the implementation of the agency’s Strategic and Operational Plans by ensuring program development, service delivery, and staffing practices align with organizational vision, mission, values, budgetary priorities, and evolving community needs.
· Providing leadership in the continued development and enhancement of innovative, evidence-informed clinical services, including virtual care models, attachment-informed practice, strengths-based approaches, cognitive behavioural interventions, dialectical behaviour therapy-informed programming, and integrated service planning.
· Ensuring high-quality, coordinated care for children and youth with moderate to complex mental health and behavioural needs through effective supervision of case management and service coordination practices across multiple sectors, including education, child welfare, justice, developmental services, and healthcare systems.
· Supporting teams in the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized and integrated service plans that promote continuity of care, timely access to services, successful transitions, and stabilization across home, school, and community settings.
· Supervising, coaching, mentoring, and supporting clinical staff through reflective supervision, performance management, professional development planning, and ongoing capacity building to foster a collaborative, accountable, and trauma-informed workplace culture.
· Providing leadership and consultation related to crisis response, complex case management, risk assessment, service navigation, and caregiver engagement strategies.
· Monitoring program utilization, clinical service delivery, caseload distribution, direct service expectations, outcome measures, and statistical reporting requirements to support quality improvement, accountability, and effective resource allocation.
· Leading recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and training processes for new staff, students, and interns, with an emphasis on building skilled and compassionate teams committed to placing children, youth, and families at the
· Assisting in the planning, development, implementation, and continuous evaluation of clinical programs and services in alignment with Ministry Service Description Schedules, accreditation standards, evidence-informed practice, and organizational quality improvement initiatives.
· Promoting and ensuring compliance with agency policies, professional standards, legislative requirements, accreditation processes, and funder
expectations while fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement and clinical excellence.
· Collaborating with internal and external partners to strengthen integrated service delivery, community partnerships, and cross-sector collaboration to better support children, youth, and families with complex and evolving needs.
· Participating in the preparation of reports, program summaries, outcome data, and clinical updates for leadership, Board, accreditation, and funder requirements.
· Demonstrating a strong commitment to ongoing professional learning, innovation, and the advancement of child and youth mental health services through continuous professional development and sector engagement.
· Maintaining flexibility to support multi-site operations and service delivery needs across Oxford and Elgin Counties.
· Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A Masters level degree from a University of recognized standing, preferably in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent.
- Registered with the College of Social Work or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and in good standing.
- Previous experience in an established children's mental health centre, a community mental health centre, hospital, or comparable setting.
- Management/Supervisory experience working within the social service sector.
- Experience with child protective services and crisis intervention would be an asset.
- Proficiency in computer/information technology.
- Ability to support multi-site locations including evenings and weekends as may be required to provide accessible services for the children, youth and families we serve.
