At Connections Behaviour Consulting, our Respite Program Support Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring high-quality, consistent, and well-organized respite services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
The Respite Program Support Coordinator provides operational, administrative, and frontline support to the Respite Program, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning and high-quality service delivery. This role works closely with the Respite Manager to support staff, coordinate program logistics, and enhance overall effectiveness of respite services.
The Coordinator acts as a key point of connection between staff, families, and leadership, ensuring services are organized, responsive, and aligned with program goals.
This position is primarily administrative in nature, with involvement in staff coordination, program support, and community-based service planning.

Minimum Qualification
Qualifications:
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· A clear vulnerable sector criminal record check
· Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
· Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (asset depending on duties)
· Experience in administrative coordination, scheduling, or community services is an asset
· Experience in respite care, community services, or supporting individuals/families is an asset
· Experience supporting individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is an asset
· Education in social services, psychology, behavioural science, special education, or a related field is preferred
Knowledge of:
· Autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities
· Basic principles of ABA and behaviour support (training provided where needed)
· Administrative systems, scheduling, and service coordination
· Family-centred service delivery models
· Confidentiality and ethical service standards
Skills and Abilities to:
· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate scheduling, attendance, and service coverage
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with families, staff, and supervisors
· Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team-based environment

Job Duties:
· Support the Respite Manager in coordinating daily respite services and ensuring smooth program operations
· Manage staff scheduling, attendance tracking, service coverage, and short-notice staffing adjustments to maintain continuity of care
· Communicate with staff and families regarding schedules, service updates, and client support needs
· Maintain accurate schedules, client records, service documentation, and administrative reporting requirements
· Assist with onboarding and orientation of new respite staff, including coordination of basic training activities
· Monitor service delivery and flag operational concerns, risks, or gaps to the Respite Manager
· Participate in team meetings and training opportunities, including ABA-related learning and development
· Support planning and coordination of client activities and community-based programming
· Maintain confidentiality and comply with all agency policies, procedures, and ethical standards
· Communicate promptly and professionally with supervisors regarding urgent issues, incidents, or service disruptions
· Contribute ideas and feedback to support continuous improvement of program quality and efficiency
· Other duties as assigned by the Respite Manager or leadership team

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
